Performing Arts College — Germany

A performing arts school in Germany was scheduling 300+ students by hand in Excel. Every term meant days of work, double-bookings, and missed classes. Off-the-shelf software didn't fit their curriculum.

We built a custom web app that generates schedules automatically, distributes them to students and teachers, tracks hours, and manages the entire curriculum database. It's still running today.

Government AV Integrator — United States

A major US-based AV integration company — contracted to install systems in highly secure military and government facilities — was producing project documentation by hand. Each project meant hours of cut-and-paste across dozens of Excel tabs for quotes, bills of materials, and cost summaries.

We learned D-Tools to produce proper system design drawings, then built Excel automation that populated every room tab, BOM, and cost summary from a single command. Hours per project collapsed to minutes, and the system is used on projects up to and including highly secure military installations.

TSX-Listed Issuer — Canada

A TSX-listed issuer was preparing a shareholder circular for an M&A transaction. Shareholder data lived across a registry export, an internal cap-table workbook, and a scattered email spreadsheet — 1,400 holders across 21 jurisdictions, with inconsistent addresses that standard geocoders mishandle.

We built an address cleanup pipeline, consolidated holders into one row each (with explicit multi-envelope exceptions where required), and shipped a five-tab TSX-formatted workbook plus a standalone shareholder database. The circular filed on time.

I'm addicted to building things.

With over 20 years in system design, international production management, and a deep pivot into software engineering and automation, I founded Clarys Systems to help businesses eliminate the manual work that holds them back.

At my core I'm a builder — whether it's creating custom programs for performing arts, building co-op databases and webshop management systems, developing full-stack web applications, or designing Python pipelines that connect Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP platforms. I've managed teams across the US, EU, Russia, and China, and I bring that same cross-discipline thinking to every project.
